Are you an international student? Would you like to undertake or pursue your studies in France? Are you enrolling for the first time in a higher education establishment in France? Do you not yet have a social security number?
You need to register with the health insurance (Assurance Maladie) in order to have your healthcare costs covered for the duration of your studies.
Are you a French student living in an overseas collectivity (Wallis and Futuna)? Have you never been affiliated to the French social security system?
You must also register with the health insurance (Assurance maladie).
Registration is free and compulsory, and will enable you to have your healthcare costs reimbursed.

CPAM staff ensure a duty period during the opening period of the GATE. They receive you by appointment. If you would like to find out where you can make an appointment, you can consult their days and hours of operation on the schedule. Appointments are held at the GATE offices
