How do I register as an international student?

If you are an international student and you wish to register for student social security, go to the CPAM website: www. etudiant-etranger. ameli. fr and follow the instructions:

• Choose your situation
• provide your date of birth
• nationality
• address
• telephone number
• e-mail address.

 

Download the required documents to complete your file (passport, visa, school certificate, RIB) Once the information is completed the AMELI website will send an e-mail to: create an account ( You will be able to log in and follow the progress of your file)

I have a talent/researcher passport, how can I register for social security?

If you have a talent passport or you are a researcher your registration must be done at the CPAM of Paris at the following address:

You can send your file or go on site in person to drop it off. Your file must consist of the following documents: The CERFA form “Application for entitlement to health insurance”

• proof of civil status: full copy of birth certificate, birth certificate with parentage, multilingual birth certificate or any document drawn up by a consulate (original birth certificate, individual civil status form, etc. ). notarized by a legible stamp
• proof of identity and residence:
  -VLS bearing the words “talent passport”
  -a VLS bearing the words “talent passport – family”

-a multiannual residence card bearing the words “talent passport”
-a multiannual card bearing the words “talent passport – family”
-a VLS-TS bearing the words “talent passport – family”
-a VLS-TS bearing the words “talent passport – family”
-the “ICT trainee” / “ICT trainee family” / “mobile ICT trainee” / “mobile ICT trainee (family)” card accompanied by the page of the passport containing the elements relating to identity.

• a status document :
  for “talent passports”: a copy of the employment contract, a copy of the single declaration of employment or a pay slip.
  -for “research scientists” holding a talent passport: a copy of the hosting agreement signed with a French organization.
  -for ICT cardholders: a copy of the employment contract or a pay slip.
  -RIB bank details If you have a talent passport and you are accompanied by your family, all members (spouse and children) must fill out one form per person. Send the file in one envelope so that your application can be processed together.

 

For the request to reattach minor children under 3 years of age to one or both insured parents, one must submit :

• Proof of presence in France: Health record (it must be requested from PMI (Protection maternelle infantile)
• Passeport
• Birth certificate

• Proof of attendance at school: (school certificate or proof of enrolment from the department’s academy)
